The 3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga is one of Morocco’s most popular Sahara experiences. Day 1: Marrakech → Atlas Mountains → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass for photos.
Visit the famous Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortress village used as a filming location for many movies. Continue through Ouarzazate before reaching the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel to the dramatic Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with towering rock walls.
Continue toward the Sahara Desert to reach the village of Merzouga. Here you’ll meet your camel caravan and begin a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes while watching the sunset.
Arrive at a traditional Berber desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, music, and a night under the desert stars.
Day 3: Merzouga-Marrakech:
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most unforgettable moments of the tour.
After breakfast, ride your camel back to the village or return by vehicle. Then begin the journey back to Marrakech, stopping along the way for lunch and scenic breaks before arriving in the evening.
