Thonburi
The Krung Thonburi BTS Station is where we’ll be gathering for the trip. Here, your tour guide will give you an overview of the day’s activities before you board your tuk-tuk (with seating for two or three per tuk-tuk). Upon arriving on the Thonburi side of Bangkok, the first station you’ll reach is Krung Thonburi. Thonburi is much more like a neighborhood, and we’ll spend some time here learning about the area’s history and culture before making our way over the river to the more touristy Rattanakosin.
Wongwian Yai Area
We’ll take a break at a food market where locals hang out to eat and talk about their daily lives and customs.
Temple Of Dawn Aka Wat Arun
Even though it is one of Bangkok’s most visited attractions, few people get to see Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn) when it is illuminated in the evening. Even if some of the structures are locked, the gardens are gorgeous and worth seeing at night. The Temple has been closed overnight since June 11th, 2023, for minor repairs. Normal hours are expected to resume shortly. In the meanwhile, you will visit the temple of Wat Prayoon. The temple’s large white stupa is especially stunning when illuminated at night. This temple is a great substitute for the more popular Wat Arun since it won the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Conservation Award of Excellence in 2013.
Wat Prayurawongsawat Worawihan
Due to its temporary closure for renovations, this is an alternative to visiting Wat Arun Temple. The temple of Wat Prayoon has been recognized for its historical significance by UNESCO with the presentation of the 2013 Cultural Heritage Conservation Award of Excellence. This temple is around 200 years old, having been constructed during the time of King Rama III. There is a large, white stupa at the temple that can be seen for kilometers around. Because of this, the temple is an excellent substitute for the more famous Wat Arun.
Pak Khlong Talat Aka Flower Market
We are going to take a stroll around the well-known Bangkok Flower Market, which is open all day and night and really comes to life after dark.
Bangkok Restaurant
Dinner will be provided for us at a local restaurant that we will visit. It is possible that we will choose a different restaurant each time so that we can provide the group with the highest level of service.
Rattanakosin Aka Bangkok Old City
The historic district of Rattanakosin, which is where many of Bangkok’s most recognizable sites are located, will be our next destination as we make our way back over the river.
Even though The Grand Palace is closed in the evening, it still gives a fantastic picture opportunity since it will be lighted up in the backdrop. We will pass by it.
Due to the fact that Wat Pho is now closed for the night, the stop at this place is temporarily stopped. We will make another trip there as soon as it is ready for business.
Giant Swing
We will make a pit stop at the Giant Swing, which is one of the most recognizable structures in Bangkok, in order to get some insight into its background.
Chinatown – Bangkok
